WE ARE CITIZENS CONCERNED FOR OUR ENVIRONMENT, HEALTH AND SAFETY OF OUR COMMUNITY, AND ITS FUTURE.

At STOP CP RAIL we are raising awareness of CP's plans to expand their Rail Yard further into our farming and residential community. We are taking action to ensure our community remains informed, healthy, and safe.

We care deeply about this great community and want to keep it a safe and healthy place to live, work, and play.  We believe CP's rail yard does not need further expansion into farming and residential areas.

CP YARD EXPANSION

CP plans to build a Logistics Park which has three major rail and transload components. These include an agricultural hub, an auto lot, and liquids transload, and rail facility for transportation fuels and ethanol. 
​
CP plans to build a third track from west of Harris Road to Golden Ears Way to build longer trains. This means they are expanding their intermodal yard into our residential neighbourhoods. 
​
CP and Maersk transload and distribution facility to expand CP’s and Maersk Canada’s supply chain operations.
​
Logistic Parks and heavy industrial rail yards do not belong in farming and residential areas. There are significant environmental, health, and safety issues regarding this expansion.
